Tocumen, S.A., has called for a tender for the supply of aircraft fuel at the air terminals operating in the country: Tocumen, Río Hato, Colón, Panama Pacifico and David.

The tender sheet has already been published and on April 3, proposals from interested companies and groups will be received.

The tender was called by Tocumen after canceling the contract to the consortium Asig Panama, signed in 2011 by the past administration. It was identified that the contractor did not comply with the investment commitment to increase the reserve capacity.

According to Tocumen, the terms of the contract were not economically favorable for the airports, with the consortium getting six time the revenue that the government received.

Under the new agreement, the airport authority will receive a greater share of the revenues than the recipient of the contract.
