Front for Democracy Coordinator Mariano Mena said today that the organization is not prostesting this weekend to recover from the protests that took place during the week against the proposed electoral reforms.
Mena said that National Assembly President Sergio Gálvez extended the debate on the reforms into the weekend to avoid protests. He said, though, that the group would be following the debate closely.
"We can not be mobilizing and calling people every day, we will now have to see how they respond this weekend," remarked the union leader.
There were demonstrators at the Assembly today, but they were from the Partido Revolucionario Democrático.
