Legislator says Martinelli will try to be re-elected

Panameñista Legislator Adolfo Valderrama said today that he thinks President Ricardo Martinelli will seek re-election. "Re-election has not been deleted from the mind of the president," stressed Valderrama, calling it "plan A" for the rulng CD. If Martinelli can't achieve this, Valderrama said he will support PRD candidate Juan Carlos Navarro, as he allegedly has close ties to that official. He said that Navarro is supported by some of the same business leaders that are behind Martinelli, such as David Ochy, owner of the company Transcaribe Trading. Valderrama said that Martinelli has an obsession to stay in power, and will destroy anyone who goes against him. "He has an obsessive attitude to get what he wants when he wants," the legislator said. "He still does not understand the thinking behind being president."
