Chamber of Commerce reiterates that government must address energy issues
13/05/2013 - The Chamber of Commerce today insisted that electricity and water issues need to be addressed by the government.
Chamber President José Luis Ford said that the government needs to address these issues in the short-, medium- and long-term. He said that a plan needs to be instituted to compensate for the rainy and dry seasons.
The country is experiencing an energy crisis due to the late start of the rainy season, which has cut hydro power generation.
This lack of power has impacted businesses.
