Molinar says signature is fake

10/12/2012 - Education Minister Lucy Molinar said today that union officials from Veraguas allegedly forged a document that contained the signature of the education technical subdirector in that province.

Molinar said that the forged signature was of Daniel Mojica, and it was done to ensure a large turnout at a union event.

'SADNESS'

The Minister said she was very sad over the incident and assured that it will never again occur.

According to Molinar, the investigation began when officials noticed that many teachers did not show up for school.

An investigation found that Mojica had not signed the note, which was circulated throughout schools in the province.

"The document was absolutely false, '' Molinar said.

Molinar stressed that the legal team of the ministry has already analyzed the case and a criminal complaint is forthcoming.
