Business leaders from the United States are visiting Panama looking for new opportunities to invest here that have been created by the implementation in October of this year of the free trade agreement between the two nations.
This was the opinion of Luis Fortuño, the governor of Puerto Rico, who arrived in Panama for the inauguration of the 30th version of the Expocomer trade fair, being held at the Atlapa Convention Center.
The governor stressed that there are opportunities for bilateral exchanges in different areas created by the agreement.
Minister of Commerce and Industry Ricardo Quijano reported last week that Panama notified the United States that it would be able to implement the treaty Oct. 1.
Fortuño emphasized that there are great opportunities for investors from both countries.
