Ferrufino says he erred in selection of alternate

Minister of Social Development Guillermo Ferrufino said today that he made a mistake in selecting Luis Corbillón as his alternate when he ran for election in 2009. Ferrufino accepted the ministerial post, promoting Corbillón to legislator. But the minister said the legislator has performed poorly. "I made a mistake and I accept it as a human being," the minister said. He said that Corbillón has not talked to him since he was promoted to minister and has failed to deliver for the community. He also alleged that the legislator has "sold" government aid to families in need. He added that this was a surprise to him since he has known the legislator for a long time and thought he would be good for the community. Corbillón, on the other hand, denied the allegations and said that he is working for the good of the District of La Chorrera. He also called the minister a liar.
