Front for Democracy Coordinator Mariano Mena said today that the attitude of National Assembly President Sergio Gálvez with regard to the debate on reforms to the Electoral Code was "crude" and an example of "low-level" politics.
"It was vulgar and demonstrated what low political qualities Gálvez has," said Mena, who said that the El Chorrillo representative is "wearing a shirt that is too big for him."
Mena said that when the opposition was making statements about the reforms, Gálvez was "reading newspapers and making jokes."
He also said the Assembly president was disrespectful in speaking about the opposition both during the session and outside the chamber.
