Giro: I always knew I was innocent
03/01/2013 - Former Parque Omar Administrator Mingthoy Giro said today that she faced many dificult moments until she was finally cleared of embezzlement charges yesterday.
"This is my homeland and here I'm going to die. It is a privilege to help the country, but what a great price I have paid," said Giro.
Giro was charged in 2008 with stealing the statue, "Games of yesteryear," which was stored at the park.
"I always said that I was innocent," she said. "This has been a life lesson."
Second anti-corruption prosecutor Lizzette Chevalier has ensured that the decision of the Second Court will be appealed.
