27/01/2012 - Minister of Health, Franklin Vergara said they will impose sanction from $1,000 to those insisting in using drinking water from hydrants for spraying water to people during Carnivals.
Vergara, who participated this Friday, Jan. 27 of the opening of the new lab at Parita Health Center, in Herrera province, was categorical when indicating that during the four days of Carnivals the Ministry of Health (Minsa) will habilitate deep wells, rivers and lakes in order to use their water during the celebrations.
In the same manner Minsa will require health identification cards from those selling food during Carnivals.
In addition, the entity will give away hairnets, caps, gloves and aprons to people selling food.
The minister said the idea that everybody can make their businesses, but they need to guarantee the food safety of the people consuming such products.
