21/01/2013 - Prosecutors Monday conducted an inspection of La Prensa as part of the investigation into the case of Trancaribe Trading (TCT) employees accused of blocking the distribution of the newspaper in August.
La Prensa attorney Jair Urriola said the inspection is part of the investigation into how the newspaper is circulated. The prosecutors intend to determine how the TCT employees stopped the distribution of the paper.
Victor Collado, the attorney for the employees, said that the newspaper changed its front page on the day of the protest and the defense wants to establish how many papers were distributed beforehand.
Four employees of TCT are accused of offences against freedom of the press.
