The National Assembly's debate over the proposed electoral reforms resumed at 4:47 p.m. today after a four-hour recess to attempt to resolve some of the differences between the opposition and the government over the proposal.
PRD Legislator Ruben Leon was the first to speak about the reforms,insisting they do not suit the country. He said the two sides were unable to reach any common ground during the recess.
08/09/2012 - The session is chaired by Assembly Vice President Abraham Martinez. The government has not issued any statement about the negotiations.
