29/11/2012 - Workers continued searching for the bodies of two Red Cross workers and their vehicle who disappeared in a landslide Sunday.
Officials said that work with heavy equipment has been suspended because the vehicle has been located. Red Cross Director Jorge Fernández said that there was a 99.9 percent chance that the vehicle that was found was the one that belonged to the Red Cross.
Workers are now trying to stabilize the ground so that additional lives are not lost. After that is done, additional pieces of heavy equipment will be used to remove the vehicle.
Rescue workers are working with specialists from Colombia, Costa Rica and Mexico.
The vehicle was lost in the ladnslide in the area of Quebrada Ancha, Colón.
