Panama Soccer Federation (Fepafut) President Pedro Chaluja confirmed today that he will support Prince Ali Bin Al Hussein of Jordan as the next president of FIFA.

Al Hussein is challenging current President Joseph Blatter of Switzerland, who has been plagued by allegations of corruption.

"I have discussed it with the Executive Committee, and unanimously, we have decided that we want a change in FIFA," said Chaluja in a telephone interview with Telemetro from Switzerland. "We are going to vote for change, we are not going to vote for continuity."

He added that he thinks that many other members of Concacaf will not vote for Blatter.

On Wednesday, United States judicial authorities gave details of a widespread corruption investigation that took place within Concacaf that included allegations of bribes and money laundering, among other charges. There were 14 people implicated, including senior executives of FIFA. Seven of these officials were detained Wednesday in Switzerland.

One of the companies that is being investigated is Traffic Sports, which has a marketing contract with the Panamanian leadership.

On this issue, Chaluja said that the relationship, which was supposed to last through 2018, is being reviewed.
